What We Do

Curriculum

Starting in 2023, One Refugee introduced a comprehensive curriculum tailored to all One Refugee students, ensuring that each individual has access to the necessary information and support required to pursue and achieve their career aspirations.

How We Do It

Academic Mentoring

1R Scholars meet with their Education Manager monthly. Monthly meeting topics include: How to succeed in college, how to prepare to find an internship, completing an internship in their field, and information about starting their professional career.

Professional Development

One Refugee works closely with 1R Scholars to develop a basic resume, to learn how to initiate informational interviews and networking opportunities, and to connect with professional mentors and internship opportunities. Career Managers develop career workshops and professional networking opportunities for the students with the help of local and national organizations.
